About Department

Computer Science or computing science is the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications.

A Computer Scientist specializes in the theory of computation and the design of computational systems. Its subfields can be divided into a variety of theoretical and practical disciplines. Some fields, such as computational complexity theory (which explores the fundamental properties of computational.) are highly abstract, while fields such as computer graphics emphasize real-world visual applications. Still other fields focus on the challenges in implementing computation. The department is also providing LCD and projector facility for effective teaching. The department also has Departmental Library for the departmental Students having reference as well as text books.The department has fully equipped laboratories. It has well qualified and experienced staff members. For students as well as staff, the department regularly arranges seminars, workshops by industry experts. It also organizes industrial visits for students. The department offers add-on courses to cope with the latest trends in technology.

Aim :

The goals of the computer sciences department are to prepare students for graduate training in some specialized area of computer science, to prepare students for jobs in industry, business or government, and to provide support courses for students in engineering, mathematics and other fields requiring computing skills.
1. The department will provide effective academic advising to promote students learning and development and achievement of educational goals.
2. The faculty will remain current in the discipline through professional development and scholarly activity and increase opportunities for and number of collaborative faculty/student research projects.

In unique, the undergraduate application in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering promotes:
1)The acquisition of basic knowledge and expertise in computer science to fulfill the professional challenges and adapt to the continuously changing subject of scientific and technological developments.
2)The improvement of important skills of Computer Science & Engineering on the evaluation, design, development, implementation and renovation in diverse professional fields of computer structures.
3)The improvement of the analytical and synthetic capacity of the students to fulfill the challenges in their area of expertise.
4)Design, construction, maintenance, and supervision Computer systems operation.
5)Management of telecommunication and information systems and systems for processing, storing, retrieving and transmitting information in any form.
6)The preparation of students for professional careers in industry, IT companies, education, public sector organizations.
